This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your rights. We try to be as clear as possible — if anything isn't, write to us.

1. Who controls your data

The data controller is Unlimit3d Studio, a 3D printing studio based in Hauts-de-France and Paris, operated by Victor Poulain and Arthur Hereng.

For any question about your personal data, contact us via the website's contact form. We respond within one month maximum, in line with the GDPR.

2. Data collected and purposes

We only collect the data needed for the purposes listed below. No resale, no opaque profiling.

  • Quote request & contact

    Name, email, phone, company (optional), project description, technical data filled in the estimator. Purpose: reply to you and provide a quote. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures at your request.

  • Newsletter

    Email only, after explicit opt-in. Purpose: send our updates (new materials, lessons learned, client projects). Legal basis: your consent, withdrawable at any time via the unsubscribe link.

  • Analytics

    Pages viewed, traffic source, device type, visit duration — aggregated and anonymised. Purpose: understand how the site is used to improve it. Legal basis: your consent (non-essential cookies).

  • Server logs

    IP address, user-agent, request timestamps. Purpose: security, fraud prevention, technical diagnostics. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

3. Cookies in use

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, reject or customise the use of non-essential cookies. You can change your choices at any time from the footer.

No advertising cookies or third-party ad-network sharing is set without your explicit consent.

4. Retention periods

  • Quote requests & commercial exchanges: 3 years from last contact, then legal archiving for 10 years if invoiced.
  • Accounting data and invoices: 10 years (legal obligation).
  • Newsletter: as long as you remain subscribed, deleted within 30 days of unsubscription.
  • Server logs: 12 months maximum.
  • Cookie preferences: 12 months, or until your next decision.

5. Recipients & processors

We don't sell your data. It is only shared with providers essential to our activity, all located in the European Union or covered by equivalent GDPR safeguards.

  • Vercel (site hosting, United States under SCC) — technical visit data.
  • Resend (transactional email, European Union) — your details on quote requests.
  • Stripe (payments, Ireland/United States under SCC) — only if you pay us online.
  • Our accountant (France) — billing data, under confidentiality obligation.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights:

  • Access: get a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: request deletion of your data, except where we have a legal retention obligation.
  • Restriction: pause processing while a verification takes place.
  • Objection: refuse processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Portability: retrieve your data in a structured, readable format.
  • Withdraw consent: at any time, without affecting the legality of past processing.

To exercise these rights, contact us via the website's contact form with your request. We may ask for proof of identity if reasonable doubt exists. If our reply doesn't satisfy you, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, hosted on infrastructure compliant with European security standards. Access to personal data is restricted to the two partners and logged. No banking data is stored by us — payments transit through Stripe.

In case of a data breach likely to pose a risk to your rights, we will inform you within 72 hours and notify the CNIL in line with article 33 of the GDPR.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect a legal, technical or business change. The date at the top of the page indicates the last update. In case of substantial change, we will inform you by email if you are a customer or newsletter subscriber.
