Who it is for
Who we make models for
A printed model keeps the exact geometry of your digital model and is easy to reprint when the project changes.
Architecture practices
Competition models, client presentations or public meetings. We meet the submission deadline and tell you if the requested scale requires simplifications.
Architecture students
Project models for reviews and juries at the architecture schools of the Lille metro area. Pickup by appointment in Lille avoids carrying a fragile model.
Developers and urban planners
Site models, block massing and insertions into existing buildings, in modules that assemble to cover a larger footprint than one print bed.
Typical work
The models we print
From raw massing to detailed façades, depending on the scale and the purpose of the model.
- Massing study models to test design options
- Competition and presentation models at 1:200 or 1:100
- Site models with contour-line topography
- Façades and construction details at 1:50 or 1:20
- Removable modules to read interior floor levels
- Replacement or additional parts for an existing model
Method
From your 3D model to the physical model
- 01
Model export
You export your model from your design software as STL, OBJ or 3MF. We explain how to prepare the export if this is your first printed model.
- 02
Scaling and checks
We check that walls, railings and window frames remain printable at the chosen scale. Below about 0.8 mm, an element is thickened or simplified, with your approval.
- 03
Splitting into modules
Beyond 25 cm, the model is split into modules with assembly marks, with cuts that follow the lines of the project wherever possible.
- 04
Printing and assembly
Printed in matte PLA, supports removed, and modules delivered ready to assemble, or fully assembled on request.
Materials & limits
What to know about scale and finish
FDM 3D printing handles volumes and façades very well. It has limits on very fine details, which are worth knowing from the start.
Minimum detail
Elements thinner than 0.8 mm at scale, such as window mullions at 1:500, do not print cleanly. They are thickened, simplified or removed.
Layer lines
Print layers remain slightly visible up close. Matte PLA reduces them significantly and suits the monochrome look expected of an architectural model.
Mixed materials
We print the structure and buildings. Clear panels, vegetation and wooden bases call for other techniques that we do not offer in-house.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a 3D-printed architectural model cost in Lille?
The price depends mainly on the printed volume and the level of detail. A compact study model remains affordable, while a site model in several modules needs more machine time. The estimate form gives you a detailed quote within 24 hours.
Which file formats should I send?
STL, OBJ or 3MF, exported from your modelling software. The model must be closed, with no missing faces. If the export has issues, we repair the mesh or tell you what to fix.
Can you meet a review or jury deadline?
Yes, if the request comes in early enough. Allow 5 to 7 business days as standard. A 48 to 72 hour express option is available depending on machine availability.
What is the maximum size for a model?
A single printed part is at most about 25 cm per side. Beyond that, the model is split into modules that assemble, which covers a much larger footprint.
Are models delivered assembled?
By default, you receive modules ready to glue, with assembly marks. Full assembly in the workshop is available on request, with pickup by appointment in Lille to avoid shipping an assembled model.
