Who it is for
Teams that prototype in Lille
The metro area is home to hardware startups, engineering offices and engineering schools. They share one need: holding a part in hand before committing to tooling.
Startups and young companies
Teams based at EuraTechnologies, Plaine Images or Haute Borne who need to show a tangible product to an investor, a pilot customer or at a trade show, without waiting for a mould.
Engineering offices and industrial SMEs
Checking fit, a snap-fit or an assembly before launching a run. We print from your STEP or STL files and flag what will cause trouble at print time.
Schools and student projects
Final-year projects, competitions and student associations from the engineering and design schools of the metro area. Grouped orders from one class are quoted together.
Typical work
What we prototype most often
Parts that help you decide: does it fit, does it hold, does it assemble.
- Electronics enclosures and covers, with board, connector and screw locations
- Snap-fits, hinges and assemblies to test by hand
- Assembly, drilling or inspection jigs for the workshop
- Brackets, mounts and adapter parts for an existing machine
- Size and presentation models for a trade show or a client meeting
- Flexible TPU parts: seals, bumpers, guards
Method
How prototyping with us works
- 01
File review
You send your STEP, STL or 3MF. We check wall thickness, assembly clearances and orientation, and flag risk areas before quoting.
- 02
Material choice
PLA to validate a shape, PETG or ASA for a part under load, TPU for flexible parts, carbon nylon for stiffness. The choice follows the test you have in mind.
- 03
Printing V1
Standard lead time of 5 to 7 business days, or 48 to 72 h express. Several variants can be printed side by side for comparison.
- 04
Iteration
You test, you modify, we reprint. Handing parts over in person in Lille lets us discuss them directly around the part.
Materials & limits
What to know before you start
An FDM-printed prototype does not behave exactly like an injection-moulded part. Better to know it before testing.
Anisotropy
An FDM part is stronger along its layers than across them. We orient the print according to the main load you describe.
Tolerances
Expect about ±0.2 mm on standard dimensions. For a tight fit, we print a test coupon or adjust the clearance in the file.
Technical materials
PLA and PETG are always in stock. ABS, ASA, TPU and carbon nylon are ordered as needed, adding about two days.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get a prototype in Lille?
Standard lead time is 5 to 7 business days after the quote is approved. A 48 to 72 hour express option is available depending on machine availability, with a 50% surcharge.
Which file formats do you accept for a prototype?
STEP, STL, 3MF and OBJ. STEP is preferable when changes are expected, as it keeps the exact geometry of your model.
Can you modify my file between iterations?
Yes. For simple adjustments such as a clearance, a thickness or a hole, we edit the file ourselves. For a deeper design change, we quote the modelling work separately.
Do you sign a non-disclosure agreement?
Yes, on request before you send your files. Your files are never reused or shown without your written consent.
Can we move from prototype to a short or medium run?
Yes. Once the part is validated, we produce the quantity you need with the same settings, with no tooling cost or production limit.
