3D modelling in Lille

Who it is for

Modelling designed for manufacturing

We model parts meant to be printed and used. Image rendering, 3D animation and virtual tours are not part of what we do.

Companies without a design office

Craftspeople, shops and SMEs who need a specific part, mount or tool without in-house CAD skills.

Product creators

You have a product idea and a sketch. We turn it into a 3D model that respects printing constraints, ready for a first prototype.

Individuals

A broken part you cannot find, an accessory that does not exist in shops: we measure it, redraw it and print it.

Typical work

What we model

Mechanical and functional parts, drawn to print correctly the first time.

Method

How a modelling job works

  1. 01

    Brief and inputs

You send what you have: a drawing, a dimensioned sketch, photos with a ruler, or the object itself. We ask whatever is missing about how the part will be used.

  2. 02

    Measurements

To reproduce an object, we measure it with calipers. Drop-off and pickup are by appointment in Lille, or by post.

  3. 03

    Modelling and approval

We draw the part with printing in mind: thickness, assembly clearances, orientation. You approve a screenshot before printing.

  4. 04

    Print and file

We print the part and hand over the STL file, or STEP on request, so it can be made again later.

Materials & limits

What to know before ordering

The quality of a model depends directly on the information you start with. Here is what makes the difference.

Reliable dimensions

A photo alone is not enough for a part that has to fit. We need at least the main dimensions, or the object itself so we can measure it.

Organic shapes

Very free-form shapes, such as a face or a sculpture, call for scanning or digital sculpting rather than CAD. We tell you so when quoting.

Safety parts

We do not model parts whose failure would endanger someone: braking, gas, lifting, vehicle safety.

Frequently asked questions

  • How much does 3D modelling cost in Lille?

Modelling is priced on design time, which depends on the complexity of the part and the quality of the inputs provided. A simple part is quick to draw, an assembly of several parts takes longer. The quote shows modelling and printing costs separately.

  • Can I get the 3D file?

Yes. The STL file comes with the part, and the STEP file on request. You own the design made for you.

  • Do I need to bring the object to reproduce?

It is the most reliable option for a part that has to fit. Drop-off is by appointment in Lille or by post. For a simple part, photos with the main dimensions may be enough.

  • Do you do 3D rendering or animation?

No. We only model parts meant to be manufactured. For a rendered image or an animation, a 3D rendering studio will be a better fit.

  • What is the lead time for a part modelled and then printed?

Allow a few days for modelling depending on complexity, then 5 to 7 business days for printing. The exact schedule is stated on the quote.
